Greenville United Football Club welcomes New Bern City Soccer Club to the scene, a new team currently in the Liga Latina de New Bern with ambitions to join the APSL.
Currently, they are working towards creating a 7v7 and 5v5 adult soccer league for men’s, women’s, and co-ed play in the Craven County area next summer. Greenville United would like to voice their support and encourage soccer enthusiasts to sign the petition towards the Craven County Recreation & Parks for support of the program.
Greenville and Pitt County have been served by the PGSA Adult League for 25 years, with upwards of 408 participants over 3 different seasons yearly. This has increased interest of soccer in the area over the years and gives adults an outlet for recreation and community. With a population over 100,000 and steadily growing, both Greenville United and New Bern City SC believe an adult soccer league would thrive in the area with the proper support, promotion, and leadership.
