Wattam is a native of Leeds, England. He has played three seasons at Chowan University , where in his first year he would help bring the Hawks to their first ever NCAA Division II National Tournament appearance and Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship, where they would advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
He brings multiple years of NPSL playing experience to his resume, where he has played for the Florida Kraze and Greenville FC, which was based in Greenville, South Carolina. Wattam would also have a stint at Lionsbridge FC, a USL League Two side located in Hampton, Virgina.
In addition to coaching Greenville United, he is also the assistant coach for his alma mater Chowan for their Women’s Soccer program, entering his third season.
